The DNS4EU public service has been launched
A new milestone has been reached by the DNS4EU project, actively supported by HUN-REN SZTAKI as a consortium member, which aims to create a reliable, secure and data protection-oriented European DNS resolution service.
Launched in June, the free, public service:
- helps protect users from online threats,
- ensures that data is handled in accordance with European legislation,
- and contributes to strengthening digital sovereignty in Europe.
HUN-REN SZTAKI, which provides the technical basis for HunCERT, was mainly involved in the security design of the service. We wrote more about our role in a related article.
Further details and instructions on how to set up the service can be found on the DNS4EU website.
