Archive of hacked websites

Many have heard about Zone-H, but maybe some are still new to the Zone-H's archive of digital attacks, or more precisely attacks against web-servers. This description is for them.

The purpose of Zone-H's digital attack-archiving page is to demonstrate that the server side of the Internet is indeed very vulnerable. According to the Zone-H, the best method for proving this is showcasing hacked and disfigured web pages. Why is that? Because during the last years, it has been proven that the tools being used to hack web pages are the same ones that cyber-criminals use, who do much dirtier work.

The service consists of four main parts, which can be accessed through the web page's top menu:

  • The archive of attacks: a list of all the successful attacks against web pages sent to the Zone-H. The newer posts are automatically moved to the top. It is possible to set filter conditions and refine the search. (For example, you can filter .hu ending domains, and records can be chosen according to the operational system or date).
  • The special archive of attacks (*): the list of important and well-known hacked websites. For example, every government-owned hacked web server appears here, and usually those hacked websites that should provide better than average protection. The records can be filtered similarly to the previous ones.
  • Reporting attacks: On this page, anyone can, (even anonymously) report hacked web servers.
  • In-progress reports: This is where the already reported, hacked web servers end up, which the staff of Zone-H has not verified yet.
