Communication exercise

HunCERT has been assessing the incident handling capabilities of domestic internet service providers at least once a year since 2014. The primary objective of the communication exercise is to update and monitor the information chain used by HunCERT, to exercise the standard operating procedures and to strengthen the role of HunCERT as an sector CERT. International findings also show that one of the critical points in incident management is establishing contact with the affected parties, and therefore a particular emphasis is placed on updating the contact points.

The exercise involves performing administrative and simple technical tasks in a hypothetical situation that varies from year to year. The communications related to the exercise will be recorded in the HunCERT incident management system.

An anonymous summary analysis of the results of the exercise is made available to the participants each year.
