A security vulnerability in software or a system that the vendor has not yet identified or fixed. Since no fix is available, attackers can exploit the vulnerability to gain unauthorized access or cause damage.

A proactive approach to cybersecurity and data protection, according to which no entity (e.g., user, device, application) is considered inherently trustworthy, regardless of whether it is located inside or outside the network.

Computers that are remotely controlled to perform malicious tasks without their owners' knowledge or consent. Remote control is typically enabled by malware installed on the computer without the user's knowledge. Zombie computers often become part of botnets.
